How We Do Embroidery

embroider v. 1. To decorate (fabric) with needlework

Embroidery is...

Embroidery Sample: Police Badge...an art and a craft, subject to quality workmanship and good decision making based on experience.

Why Use Embroidery?

When a logo or design is set onto fabric via thread and needle, something magic happens. An ordinary logo becomes infused with craftsmanship and a sense of tradition that eludes other reproduction methods.

Embroidery offers two significant advantages over imprinting methods:

  • The permanence of stitches over imprinting.
  • The ability to use multiple colors at no additional cost.

Embroidery gives a garment a richer and more professional look than imprinting.

Digitizing the Design

Computer Digitizing ScreenshotEmbroidery, though it has a long and rich tradition, is a thoroughly modern industry. A design idea may start with pencil and paper, but it soon meets a computerized manufacturing process.

Artwork must be digitized (converted) into a computerized embroidery format. A series of steps are taken to insure that a design idea, already translated to computer, will translate once more to thread and fabric.

Experience is crucial at this stage, because many informed judgements must be made to insure that the end result preserves the integrity of the original design. U.S. Embroidery prides itself on the quality of its work at this stage, because it makes all the difference.

Stitching Patterns on Fabric

Stitching a Logo on FabricUltimately, our staff creates a set of computer instructions that are fed to the embroidery machines. The machines use these instructions to create stitching patterns that move needle and thread across fabric. It's awesome to watch a logo unfold in a complex series of stitches at lightning speed.

The End Results

Running at an average of 600 stitches per minute, we can embroider into a wide variety of wearables and materials, from caps to attaché bags, oxford shirts to bulky sweaters and quite a few items in-between.

A Worker Setting UpEmbroidery can be applied to just about any type of material that a needle can pierce. It's a great way to lend distinction to caps, shirts, jackets, attaches, headbands, socks, sweatshirts, and much more.

When you decide to order embroidery, remember that U.S. Embroidery offers the highest quality workmanship available anywhere. Better still, our pricing and customer service are top notch. Best of all: we make it easy for you.
